For my second storyboard, my theme was this grunge mixed with a little bit of tribal influences. The image of the tattoo and the exaggerated nose and earrings helped bring the tribal aspect together. The silhouettes are more form fitting to the body, a lot tribal wear are loose on the body and have some kind of flow, once again I decide to go in the opposite direction. The color palette is very neutral with a pop of color, being the bright blue.
Your storyboard have an interesting mix of colors and patterns. I especially like the second storyboard with your browns, black and blue colors. They mix well and complement your images.
ReplyDeleteI love your first board. I can easily see all the images you chose having a clear boy scout influence. The colors are also very appealing.
ReplyDeleteInteresting boards-- especially like the scout board and its very timely. Your second board could lend itself to a lot of variety -- but I prefer the first board.
ReplyDeleteI definitely like the idea for your first board more. There is a lot of negative space on both boards though. You might have been able to add in a background or some more images to really drive your concepts home.
ReplyDeleteI love the grunge storyboard. The deep earth tones mixed with the idea of tribal patterns inspires me. I am intrigued by the idea of tighter fitting tribal wear.
ReplyDeleteI like how concise your storyboards are, they're not overwhelming and they convey your themes thoroughly.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of the boy scouts theme. I also like how you took apart the colors that make up a plaid.
ReplyDeleteI like your board for spring/summer the best. I loved the plaid in Louis Vuitton's men's spring line so I'm glad you incorporated it into your board! I used it one of my storyboards too!
ReplyDeleteI like the simplicity of your boards with the white background. But I think that at least one more image on each would make the themes much more vivid to the audience.
ReplyDeleteI like the grunge board best. Grunge is one of my favorite styles and i like how you infused it with the tribal that gives it a wild feel while still being marketable and easier to wear by making the silhouettes fitted.
ReplyDeleteI love how you mixed tribal with grunge for the second board. The two styles are very different and I like how you combined them. The colors for that board look perfect for winter!
ReplyDeleteI like your 2nd board with the grunge and tribal inspiration. It seem very interesting and I want to see how you will create a line with this theme.
ReplyDeleteI find the first board intriguing especially because we were working from the same inspiration and came up with completely different things. I like that you brought Moonrise Kingdom into modern day and your color story works very well
